Turning Potential Disasters into an Annoyance®
Testing of Plans and Solutions
Very few things work perfectly the first time you try them out, primarily because we as humans have a learning curve. Golfers go to the driving range to improve their swing while baseball players visit the batting cage. Additionally, as you change staff, product lines, or suppliers, your needs may change as well. To ensure proper performance when the time comes, and to satisfy regulatory requirements, we recommend the following testing cycle:
o 1st Quarter: Review your plan for changes in staff or operations
o 2nd Quarter: Conduct a scenario driven tabletop exercise that walks you through your continuity plans
o 3rd Quarter: Review your plan for changes and "to do" items from your tabletop exercise
o 4th Quarter: Restore your data on a backup server
Tech Valley Continuity will assist you in the training process by facilitating your tabletop exercise, coordinating your data recovery, and guiding you through the plan review process.
There is a saying:
Your plan is only as good as your last test. Don't let your first test be an actual event - You Will Fail
